Our Gallery

The Macy Art Gallery is one of the last spaces still in its original use at Teachers College. The gallery presents a wide range of exhibitions by national and international artists, graduate students, faculty members, alumni, and the finest examples of artworks by children of all ages. The year-round exhibition schedule reflects the Art and Art Education Program's commitment to cultural diversity in education and the visual arts.

Mission Statement

The Macy Art Gallery offers an ambitious range of exhibitions each year that uphold and reflect the commitment of Teachers College and the Program of Art and Art Education to the expression of diverse perspectives within education and the arts. As a nonprofit gallery, we have the privilege of nurturing visual artists from within and beyond the TC community and providing open access to art and artists, creating space for exploration, discovery, and connection. We center art in all of its complexity - as process, as expression, as meaning, as object.
